Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

My Sudoku (the "App") is a puzzle game designed for entertainment and educational purposes. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile and web applications.

2. Data We Process

On your device: game state, progress, language, settings and optional remembered email are stored locally so the App can resume your game.
Optional account: Firebase Authentication processes your email address or the identifier returned by Google or Apple, plus standard authentication metadata.
Private cloud progress: if you sign in, progress counters are stored in Firestore under your account identifier for cross-device recovery.
Public leaderboard: solved-grid time and points are published under a public nickname that you can change in the app. By default, a generated pseudonym such as “Player-1A2B3C4D” is used. Your email, provider name, photo and Firebase account identifier are not published.
Security data: short-lived game-session timestamps are used to verify leaderboard submissions. Firebase and hosting providers may also process ordinary technical logs such as IP address, device/browser information and request timestamps for operation and abuse prevention.

Account creation is optional. Guest play does not send game progress to Firestore.

3. Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase for infrastructure services:

Firebase Authentication: To manage user login (optional).
Cloud Firestore: To synchronize private progress and serve pseudonymous leaderboards.
Cloud Functions for Firebase: To validate scores and delete account data securely.
Firebase Hosting: To serve the web application.

These services are provided by Google and may process data in countries outside your country of residence under Google's applicable data-protection safeguards.

4. Data Security

Private cloud progress is restricted to the authenticated account by Firestore rules. Leaderboard writes are accepted only through server-side validation. Transport encryption, restrictive browser headers and dependency pinning are also used. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Local data remains until you clear it, delete your account, uninstall the App or clear the site's storage. Account progress and leaderboard data remain while your account is active. A game session is removed after a successful submission, overwritten when the same grid is restarted, or removed when the account is deleted.

The in-app deletion flow removes active authentication data, private progress, leaderboard entries, scores and game sessions, and clears App-related local storage. Apple access is revoked when Apple Sign In was used. Residual encrypted backups and operational logs may remain for a limited period under the infrastructure provider's retention and legal obligations.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability or complaint to a supervisory authority. You can delete your account in the App or contact us for assistance.

7. Children's Privacy

My Sudoku does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game can be played without creating an account.
